WAA appoints head of digital

WAA has appointed Simon Cox as head of digital.

Simon brings to WAA a decade of digital experience, six of them with digital agency Freestyle Interactive and Cable & Wireless. His previous roles have involved digital asset, traffic and project management, in addition to strategic counsel for brands including Land Rover, Bryant Homes, Simple Skincare and Virgin Active.

Simon comments: “WAA has evolved during recent years into a full service, digitally savvy agency and this is a terrific opportunity to help guide its digital strategy and output to the next level. As head of digital, I’ll be heavily involved in the planning and delivery of integrated communications strategies for both existing and new clients, drawing on my understanding of the complex landscape that is digital, and turning this into manageable strategy.”

Jacqui Lennon, WAA’s managing director said: “Simon’s appointment is indicative of our intention to continue investing in talent and expertise. He joins creative partner Chris Bailey, who joined us last summer, in creating a skilled and vastly experienced senior management team capable of delivering fantastic results for our clients and positioning WAA for growth.”

Meanwhile, Cheryl Goddard has joined WAA as PR senior account executive from London based public relations agency Taylor Herring Ltd.
