The truth about work experience

When I was arranging my work experience I decided that I wanted to work in an office. That may seem a bit strange but my parents don’t work in offices so I really had no idea what they were like, except from what I’d seen on TV. I had been told that WAA was quite casual as offices go but I still didn’t know what I’d find and think about everything.
Once I had got used to the building’s identical staircases that kept leading me to the wrong place I found the atmosphere really friendly (especially once I’d got out the cake I brought with me!), everybody was talking to each other and listening to music while they worked. I got given my own desk with a huge Mac computer and a big layout pad to sketch all of my ideas out on.
I did something different everyday depending on what needed doing. On the first day I was given a one-day brief- to come up with an advertising idea for a high-end brand cleaning detergent. The next day was a PR brief for a nightclub and on the final day I had to come up with lots of ideas to market a car garage, go to a brainstorm and write this. Everybody has a different job to do but they all come up with amazing ideas in the brainstorms as well. I really enjoyed doing all the work, as I like being creative, so it was a very good idea to come here; somewhere where everything I did was creative and imaginative.
I’ve had loads of fun (and brain pain) doing everything and I would definitely do it again if I got the chance, as would anybody else who had the opportunity to do something interesting and really quite fun with such friendly people.
